Police: Teen assaulted by cop impersonator

PHILADELPHIA - September 8, 2009 It happened around midnight Sunday in the 3200 block of Tioga.

Investigators say a 16-year-old boy was in a car with another teen boy and two teenage girls when they were pulled over by a dark colored Ford SUV with flashing red and blue lights.

The car was occupied by four men who identified themselves as police officers.

Police say the 16-year-old boy was taken by to the vehicle, where he was frisked and indecently assaulted.

One of the men is described as a black man, 18-20 years old with a dark complexion, wearing a black shirt with a skull on the front and black pants.

A second suspect is described as a black man 16-19years old, 5'10", thin build, brown complexion, with black hair and a pony tail. He was wearing a black jacket with badge and the word "REC" over it and patch on the shoulder.

The teen couldn't provide a description of the other two men.

They were driving a mid 90's dark blue Ford Explorer or Expedition with side lights with red and blue lights in the front grill.

No badge or weapon were shown.
