The accident happened at about 12:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard just north of Broad Street.
Investigators tell Action News that the officer's cruiser was rear ended by another car.
The officer was shaken up and sustained head and neck injuries. She was transported to Einstein Medical Center in stable condition.
There were no injuries reported from the striking vehicle.
No word on if any charges will be filed.
