WASHINGTON (AP) - September 9, 2009
The four - 29-year-old Adil R. Cassim of Granada Hills, Calif.;
35-year-old Bennie Glover, of Shelby, N.C.; 28-year-old Matthew D.
Chow of Missouri City, Texas; and 46-year-old Edward L. Mohan, II
of Baltimore - were indicted Wednesday.
Prosecutors say the four were members of Rabid Neurosis, or RNS,
which was in operation from 1999 to 2007. The group allegedly
conspired to illegally upload to RNS thousands of copyright
protected music files, which were often reproduced and distributed
hundreds of thousands of times.
The indictment says members of RNS, including Glover, illegally
obtained some of the music before its commercial release date from
a CD manufacturing plant in North Carolina.
