Police: Man leaves boy in car, looks for drugs

The man in custody has been identified as Dino Vicente from Coopersburg Pennsylvania. He is facing numerous charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, narcotic violations and reckless endangerment of another person.

Police say at around 9:00 Saturday night Vicente went to 8th and Clearfield to purchase drugs. He left his 6-year-old stepson inside the 2006 Tribecca he was driving while he purchased the drugs.

Vicente then allegedly took the drugs. He was extremely intoxicated and forgot where he parked his car. Vincente contacted police and told them he left his stepson in a car that he can't find.

It wasn't until approximately 6:30 Sunday morning that the police located the car on the 2000 block of Clearfield and found the child inside.

The name of the child is not being released, however, he was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital for slight hypothermia and was then reunited with his mother.

Vicente remains in custody at the 24th District and will remain there until at least Monday morning. He is facing multiple charges including drugs and endangering the welfare of a child.
