Convenience store robbed at knifepoint

WILMINGTON, Del. - September 17, 2009 It happened on Sunday at the 7-Eleven store at 3700 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware.

Around 1:50 a.m. police say a man came into the store and asked for a pack of cigarettes. As the clerk went to complete the sale, the suspect pulled a knife and demanded money from the register.

The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the robber fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white man, around 40 to 50 years old. He's about 6 feet tall, weighing 200 pounds with a tattoo on the left and right forearms. He was wearing a green t-shirt, jean shorts and black shoes. He also had a black t-shirt over his head.
