September 19, 2009

The Philadelphia Orchestra salutes Philadelphia's men and women in blue with the Fallen Heroes Tribute Concert honoring police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Hosted by actor Tony Danza, the concert takes place on Sunday, September 20, at 6:00 PM at The Mann Center for the Performing Arts.

Philadelphia Orchestra Associate Conductor Rossen Milanov leads the concert, which also features Tony Danza as host, soprano Mary Elizabeth Williams, and will include inspirational and patriotic works by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Edward Elgar, John Williams, Morton Gould, and Irving Berlin. The concert is free, with a suggested donation of $20.

A general admission ticket voucher, good for up to four people, is required for entry to the concert.

Proceeds from sponsorships and donations from the Fallen Heroes Tribute Concert will benefit the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors' Fund.
