Report: Vick wants to start

PHILADELPHIA - September 25, 2009

USA Today reports that Eagles backup quarterback /*Michael Vick*/ told a reporter with CBS, that he thought he would be returning to the NFL as a starting quarterback.

Vick said of his current situation: "This is not the exact scenario I thought would play out. I thought I'd be playing with a team and actually starting."

For this weekend, /*Donovan McNabb*/ is currently injured and /*Kevin Kolb*/ seems the likely starter, when they face the Chiefs at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. It is the first game Vick is being permitted by the NFL to play since he started serving a prison sentence linked to an illegal dogfighting ring.

The Eagles also recently re-signed fan favorite /*Jeff Garcia*/ following McNabb's injury.
