A Denver airport shuttle driver accused of plotting a bomb attack in New York City on Sept. 11 is in custody in New York. U.S. Marshals Service spokesman Jeff Carter says Najibullah Zazi is at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Zazi was put on a U.S. government plane in Denver on Friday afternoon after a magistrate ordered him transferred to New York to face charges of conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction.

The 24-year-old Zazi was arrested in Denver a week ago on a charge of lying to investigators. Prosecutors say he wanted to use homemade hydrogen peroxide bombs on the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Zazi has denied being a terrorist. He's set to appear for a hearing in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
