Twenty-six-year-old Eric Johnson of Wilmington was mistakenly released on Thursday. The Department of Correction reported the release on Monday and Johnson was back in custody Monday evening.
Johnson had been sentenced to 12 years for second-degree burglary, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and other offenses. Officials did not offer further details on his return or his mistaken release.
