The Star-Ledger of Newark reported in Tuesday's newspapers that Corzine has given more than $1.4 million to the Democratic committees since he took office in 2006.
The county funds are often used to contribute to campaigns around the state, a practice known as "wheeling." It allows the funds to give more than the $2,600 per candidate limit for individual campaign contributions.
Corzine campaign spokeswoman Lis Smith says there's nothing wrong with the governor supporting his party.
He is seeking re-election in November against Republican Chris Christie and Independent Chris Daggett.
