Facebook posts haunt murder trial

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - October 6, 2009

Michael Roseboro's post-trial motion alleges the posts violated orders for jurors to avoid all communications about the trial. The jurors complained in the online posts about jury duty.

The 42-year-old Roseboro is serving a life term for killing his wife Jan in the swimming pool behind their Reinholds home in July 2008.

Prosecutors say Roseboro beat, choked and drowned his wife so he could be with his mistress.

The defense is seeking a new trial or the right to question the two jurors about whether they were influenced by any Facebook friends.

Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman says he is confident the verdict will be upheld.
