This week the fight for the number-one album was supposed to be between Paramore and Mariah Carey. Instead, Barbra Streisand quietly took the title from both of them. Streisand's "Love is the Answer" hit number one on the Billboard album chart its first week out. It sold 180,415 copies, according to SoundScan. It's Streisand's ninth number-one album. She's also the first artist to have a number-one album in five consecutive decades.

Paramore is second with "Brand New Eyes," which sold 175,112 copies. Carey's "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" is third with 167,912.
