Turn off your cell at Peace Valley Park

October 8, 2009

It's Peace Valley Park Nature Center, just off Route 313 near Doylestown. They have a small lake there, and an area where you can just chill with the turtles and the great blue heron.

Our photographer caught a bird getting his breakfast, grabbing a fish there.

But my favorite part is that they have a bird blind. You go inside this little enclosure and you sit down, and right outside they have feeders set-up and in fifteen minutes, you will see at least fifteen kinds of birds, maybe double that. This includes some really cool stuff, like a woodpecker and even a hummingbird. They have goldfinches, nuthatches.

And the best thing about this? It's totally quiet and removed from the commotion and bustle of the world.

All you do here is chill!
