Judge to decide: Keep Letterman warrants sealed?

NORWALK, Conn. (AP) - October 15, 2009 Prosecutor Suzanne Vieux's (VEWS) motion to extend the sealing is scheduled to go before a judge in Norwalk Superior Court Thursday morning. She is also asking that the courtroom be closed to the public.

CBS News producer Robert J. "Joe" Halderman has pleaded not guilty to trying to extort $2 million from the late-night TV host in return for keeping some of the comedian's sexual affairs quiet.

Vieux's motion says releasing the search warrants for Halderman's home and car could subject witnesses to media scrutiny and hurt the prosecution.
