One woman was robbed at gunpoint, the other was grabbed from behind, pulled down a staircase until her screams prompted her husband to come to her aid.
"She screamed and she ran off and she did exactly what we want people to do in that scenario," Trinidad Navarro of the New Castle County Police said.
Resident Rose Glallucio says she'll keep an eye out for her daughter who comes home late at night.
"I guess I'll be out here with a flashlight, but I think they should I think they should do something about it," Glallucio said.
New Castle County Police are advising women to park in well lit areas, to walk in pairs or with dogs, and to bring attention to themselves if confronted, but Navarro says give up valuables on demand rather than risk your life.
Many residents at Arbor Pointe are even more on edge because they are aware that a registered sex offender lives at the complex, but so far police have not linked him to either of the incidents
