Prosecutors have identified a body found floating in a New Jersey lake as a child pornography suspect who went missing days after being charged.

An autopsy determined that Brian Thompson committed suicide, authorities said.

Thompson's body was found Friday afternoon, floating in Marlu Lake in Thompson County Park in Holmdel. First Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Peter Warshaw Jr. said Thompson killed himself by drowning in the lake.

The 63-year-old Hazlet resident was last seen Oct. 10 when he left his home to go on a bike ride.

He had been arrested two days earlier and charged with child endangerment after Bergen County prosecutors said he used the Internet to acquire and distribute child porn.
