SEPTA train strikes man in head in Center City

CENTER CITY - October 21, 2009

Police tell Action News that the man was on the platform for the westbound Market-Frankford line at 15th and Market when he apparently leaned out to see if the train was coming. The arriving train hit the man in the head.

The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m.

The man, believed to be in his early 20s, was awake and rushed by medics to Hahnemann University Hospital.
