The Sixers tipped it off Friday night at the Wachovia Center for their home opener and there's no looking back now.

The sports complex in South Philadelphia will be the home for even more events Saturday and Sunday.

18,000 fans will pack the Wachovia Center Saturday afternoon for a Philadelphia Flyers - Carolina Hurricanes game.

17,000 fans will jam the Wachovia Spectrum Saturday night for Pearl Jam, for the final event at that arena.

46,000 phanatics will wave their rally towels during Game 3 of the /*World Series*/ between the Phillies and the Yankees Saturday night.

Sunday is no different. Though, it has an all-day theme.

65,000 Eagles fans will make their way into Lincoln Financial Field as the Birds meet the New York Giants Sunday afternoon.

46,000 Phillies fans will boo New York during Game 4 of the World Series Sunday night.

Here is the complete rundown of events in South Philly:

Friday at 7 p.m.: Sixers home opener vs. Milwaukee Bucks at Wachovia Center
Friday at 7:30 p.m.: Pearl Jam Concert at Wachovia Spectrum
Saturday at 1 p.m.: Flyers vs. Hurricanes at Wachovia Center
Saturday at 7:30 p.m.: Pearl Jam Concert at Wachovia Spectrum
Saturday at 7:57 p.m.: World Series Game 3 at Citizens Bank Park
Sunday at 1 p.m.: Eagles vs. Giants at Lincoln Fiancial Field
Sunday at 8:20 p.m.: World Series Game 4 at Citizens Bank Park

By the way, Saturday is also Halloween.

The SEPTA strike has seemingly been averted.
