Hearing to resume soon in scallop boat disaster

CAPE MAY, N.J. (AP) - November 2, 2009

The Lady Mary sank 60 miles off the coast of Cape May.

A key piece of evidence at the hearing in Cape May is likely to be the boat's rudder. It was recovered along with several other items over the summer by divers.

Commercial fishermen who were working in the area when the boat went down on March 24 will also be called to testify.

One crewman survived. Jose Arias was unable to shed much light on what might have caused the sinking.
