Robber hits 7-11 clerk in head with gun

A robber in Northeast Philadelphia knocked a convenience store clerk over the head with a gun, then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the robbery happened early Thursday morning inside the 7-11 store at the corner of Bustleton Avenue and Knorr Street.

So far, investigators have not released a description of the suspect.

The clerk was taken to Nazareth Hospital for treatment of head injuries.
