It happened around 5:00 p.m. along eastbound Route 273 at West Main Street.
Police say the boy, believed to be about 13 years old, has been pronounced dead.
He sustained serious head, abdominal and leg injuries, police said, and he was in cardiac arrest at the time first responders arrived on scene.
