Woman pleads guilty to killing infant

CAMDEN, N.J. - November 10, 2009

Thirty-seven-year-old Gloria Carter of Brooklawn pleaded guilty Tuesday to aggravated manslaughter.

Camden County prosecutors say Carter killed 3-week-old Sean Colvin on Nov. 18, 2006, by slashing his stomach and throwing him down a flight of stairs.

Carter could face up to 23 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 22.
