Nancy and hundreds of other people in the Philadelphia area have discovered Groupon.com.
Every day, Groupon emails its members a discount offer from a merchant in their area. If enough members agree to purchase that offer, they all can take advantage of the discount.
Nancy paid $75 for two one-hour Swedish massages. The regular price would be $140.
For business owners, like Everlasting Spa owner Weber Huang, it's a great way to get the word out to new potential customers.
"I actually have customers coming over from the Philadelphia area," Weber explains. "And a lot of customers haven't been here and never knew that we were here. But we get a lot of exposure."
Nancy says she's now a Groupon groupie, who checks her email every day to find out what deal is being offered.
"Since then I've bought several other Groupons. I got a cookie bouquet and dance lessons," she says.
Other recent deals on Groupon's Philadelphia site include $20 worth of ice cream for $10 at More than Just Ice Cream, a $42 one-day Paintball package for $20, and a $50 kitchen and bathroom cleaning for $20.
