It happened around 6:00 p.m. at 49th Street and Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.
Initial reports say the woman, believed to be 50-years-old, was struck by a car and then a tow truck.
She was rushed by medics to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. Her condition is uknown at this time.
Police say the first vehicle that struck the woman did not stop. The tow truck did stop.
Police continue to investigate.
