Men robbed by police impersonators

TRENTON, N.J. - November 16, 2009

The victims to this incident were Estuardo Rodriguez, 26, and William Ayala, 27, both of Trenton, NJ.

Police say Ayala and Rodriguez were in a car in the area of North Clinton Avenue around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday.

That's when a black sedan pulled up along side them and two men inside displayed silver badges. Rodriguez and Ayala stopped, and the men approached and asked for identification.

When the men got out their wallets for their ID, the susepcts grabbed their wallets and drove away.

The first suspect was described as an African American male, approximately 27 to 29 years old, between 5'11" to 6'01" and heavy build. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 27 to 29 years old, between 5'05" to 5'07" and medium build.
