Officers were called to St Christopher's Hospital just before midnight by hospital staff.
Staff members told police a 3-month-old had been brought in with suspicious injuries.
The infant is suffering from a bleeding liver and multiple contusions and is now in ICU. The parents are being questioned by SVU because of the severity of the injuries.
