The incident unfolded just after midnight at the Sunoco mini market, located at the intersection of Rising Sun and Adams Avenue.
According to witnesses, the armed suspects showed up in a Silver Jeep with Florida plates. Brandishing semi-automatic weapons, the men moved in on two vehicles. One of the stolen vehicles was a White 2008 Honda Accord. The second was a black 2005 Ford 350 pickup truck.
Police later spotted the stolen pickup truck in South Philadelphia. After a brief pursuit the driver bailed out of the moving vehicle and the truck crashed near the 2400 block of S. Bonsall Street. Police took the driver into custody.
At this time officers are searching for the other vehicle and the remaining suspects.
