It happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday on Route 70 near the intersection of Vermont Avenue.
Police say a car, driven by Stephen M. Moffa, 41, of the 400 Block of East Chapel Avenue in Cherry Hill, was traveling westbound on Route 70 when his car left the road.
The vehicle then hit Mark C. Jennings, 44, a homeowner who was trimming limbs on a tree in the front of his home.
A utility pole was also brought down in the crash.
Both the Moffa and Jennings were pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
Police say Jennings was a Lt. Col with the United States Air Force.
