La. student falls under bus during scuffle, dies

RAYVILLE, La. (AP) - December 14, 2009 Officials say the Monday afternoon fight was between a Rayville High School student and someone from another school.

Richland Parish Schools Superintendent Cathy Stockton says school and local authorities are investigating. The bus driver will be tested for intoxication as a routine.

The names of the students involved have not been released. Stockton says counselors will be sent Tuesday to area schools for grieving students.

Rayville is about 120 miles east of Shreveport.
