2 men stabbed in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA - December 16, 2009

The violence unfolded at 11:53 Tuesday night at the intersection of Carroll Street and Elmwood Avenue.

The victims, both age 25, were rushed by medics to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for treatment. One man suffered a knife wound to the chest and is listed in critical but stable condition. The other suffered wounds to his abdomen and leg and is listed in stable.

Police have talked to at least a half dozen people regarding the incident, but so far there's no word on whether or not any leads have been produced.

The incident is being investigated by Southwest Detectives.
