Flyers fans flocked to sporting goods stores to stock up on gear in time for the Stanley Cup playoffs -- but there's no need to spend top dollar on your orange and black.

Forman Mills stores pride themselves on offering gear from names like Reebok and Majestic at discount prices.

Here, we found League Champ T-shirts for $19.99 and a variety of other T-shirts for $16.99. Caps -- with original prices of $22 -- were selling for as little as $5 and $8.

And we also found a lot of shoppers stocking up. Susan Grant of Newtown Square, Pa., was shopping for a long list of friends and family. "You definitely save quite a few dollars," she said. "And when you have a big list, it really adds up."

You can also save by looking for Flyers gear at grocery stores, or by making your own. You can get a transfer featuring Mr. 6 here. First, you'll need a T-shirt and some iron-on transfer paper.

This week, Michael's has Jerzees T-shirts on sale for $2 each.

They have the transfer paper for $10 -- but with this printable 40% off coupon from our Saving with 6abc Codes and Coupons page, I was able to get the package of ten sheets for $6.

Load the transfer paper into your printer and then click here to print out our Mr. Six Go Flyers decal.

Follow the directions to iron on your transfer and you'll be able to make a great-looking Flyers T-shirt for $2.60.
