Funeral arrangements set for NJ trooper

Officials have announced funeral arrangements for the New Jersey state trooper who died after he was hit by a car while on patrol Sunday.

A viewing for Marc Castellano will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home in Howell.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Veronica's Catholic Church in Howell. Burial will follow at Saint Rose Lima Cemetery in Freehold.

The 29-year-old married father of two preschoolers was struck on Interstate 195 while searching for a second person from an abandoned a car that authorities were looking for.

Police say the driver of the abandoned car lied about having a companion.

Diana Hoffman of Blackwood is held on $500,000 bail, charged with eluding police, resisting arrest and other offenses.
