According to police, a group of motorcyclists were traveling west on Martin Luther King Drive around 1:00 a.m. when one of the cyclists, identified as Corey Miller, lost control of his motorcycle and struck the guardrail.
The impact of the crash ejected Miller from the motorcycle and sent him down an embankment landing near the Schuylkill River.
Firefighters had to climb down the embankment to reach the injured motorcyclist and pull him up.
Miller was taken to Hahnemann Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
