The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Jeanine Thomas of North Philadelphia
It happened just before 4:00 p.m. at Penn and Womrath streets.
Police say Thomas was shot numerous times in the stomach.
She was taken to Aria Hospital-Torresdale Division where she was pronounced dead hours later.
Police are investigating.
