The fast-moving fire started around 3:30 a.m. Thursday along the 4600 block of Horrocks Street.
Firefighters say they found smoke and flames on the 2nd floor of the home when they arrived on the scene. The fire was under control a short time later.
A 60-year-old woman was taken to Temple University Hospital. According to officials, she passed away hours later.
Investigators haven't yet determined the cause of the fire.
