Authorities said Tuesday that 41-year-old Ifeon Carter was arrested after DNA tests indicated that he had fathered a child born to the alleged victim last year.
Authorities were called last October by the 15-year-old girl's mother, who suspected Carter was having sex with her daughter and that he was the father of her child.
Authorities said the girl and her mother had been homeless in 2008 before moving into Carter's home, where they lived for about three months.
Carter is charged with 10 counts of second-degree rape. He is being held in custody after failing to post $200,000 secured bail.
