He is 35-year-old Donald L. Williams of the 1700 block of Edwin Walk in Philadelphia.
Investigators say it happened about 11:45 on Sunday night, along the 400 block of Sherman Street in Wilmington.
Williams was rushed to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
So far, police have not indicated if they have a suspect in mind or if they have uncovered a motive.
