It happened at Dana Transportation in the unit block of Crown Point Road in West Deptford around 6:30 p.m.
Police say a male worker somehow fell into the tanker truck and was trapped inside.
It took authorities almost a half hour to free the man.
He was taken to a local hospital for observation.
The extent of his injuries has not been released.
