Bryan Appel, 31, of Wilmington was arrested Thursday at a bus stop after being spotted by an officer on routine patrol.
The robbery happened on August 7th. Police say Appel went into the California Sun location at 4117 Concord Pike in Wilmington and confronted a 20-year-old female employee.
Police say Appel, armed with the needle, demanded and received an undisclosed amount of money from the store cash register.
The victim was not injured.
Appel was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st degree and committed to Howard Young Correctional Institute for lack of $10,000.00 secured bail.
