It happened outside one of the teen's homes on the 4800 block of Greene Street at 4:30 Sunday morning.
Police tell Action News that a man pulled up in a blue vehicle demanding cash. The teens tried to run and the gunman opened fire.
A 17-year-old boy was shot nine times, sustaining wounds to his head, chest, arm and buttocks. He is listed in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
A 16-year-old is in stable condition at Temple University Hospital with two shots to the shoulder.
