It happened around 9:30 p.m. in the northbound outer lanes on Roosevelt Boulevard near Oxford Avenue.
Police say a 32-year-old man was hit by a vehicle. He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.
The striking vehicle did stop.
Philadelphia police are investigating.
