On Wednesday at approximately 9:00 p.m., police officers were on foot patrolling the area of Rodney Square in Wilmington when they were flagged down. An individual told the officers that his 9-year-old brother had just been offered money for sex while riding his bicycle.
After getting the suspect's description, police quickly located the suspect sitting in a vehicle in the 1000 block of N. Market Street. The suspect was identified as 75-year-old Glenn Steele of Wilmington.
Steele was taken into custody without incident. He is charged with Sexual Solicitation of a Child Under 18, Criminal Solicitation Third Degree and Loitering with the Intent to Engage or Solicit Another to Engage in Sex.
The nine year old was not harmed.
