1 dead, 1 critical after Chester shooting

CHESTER, Pa. - August 20, 2010

It happened just hours after Chester's Mayor hosted the city's final night out.

It happened near the intersection of Parkway and Elkington, around 10 p.m. Thursday.

Police have not released the identities of the victims. So far, no arrests have been made.

This double shooting is the latest in a rash of deadly violence plaguing the city of Chester.

Last month, officials in Chester ended a state of emergency which included a curfew and increased police patrols in the roughest sections of the Delaware County city.
