Toms River falls 16-6 at Little League WS

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) - August 21, 2010

Robinson delivered his clutch opposite-field hit to left before Jones, batting ninth, lined an 0-1 fastball from reliever Jeff Ciervo beyond the center-field hedges for a two-run homer and an 8-0 lead. Jones was mobbed at home by smiling teammates patting him on the helmet.

New Jersey, known for rallying in the regional tournament from big deficits, scored six runs in the first two innings, highlighted by Kevin Blum's two-run triple to make it 9-6 in the second.

Ohio pitching held from there and New Jersey went hitless after the second.
