Route 611 cracked in several spots along a southbound near Fitzwatertown Road in Willow Grove just south of the Pa. Turnpike interchange.
Authorities quickly got the water slowed that had been gushing out the roadway, but they were unable to completely shut it off. There are reports of several main breaks along that stretch of Route 611.
Officials closed both lanes of Route 611 southbound in the area. Drivers were able to get by the scene by using left hand turning lane.
