Amber Alert: Sex offender sought, son missing

LUMBERTON, N.J. - August 24, 2010

Terry Dusseault, 38, is sought in the disappearance of his 8-year-old son, Terry Dusseault, Jr.

Police say Dusseault was last seen taking the boy from 301 Canal Circle in Lumberton on Tuesday. That is where Dusseault lives with his brother, Action News has learned. We've also learned his wife is deceased.

According to Burlington County authorities, Terry Dusseault was to be charged this morning with multiple counts of sexual assault on three Burlington County juveniles, including two counts of 1st degree aggravated sexual assault.

But before they could make the arrest on Tuesday he fled from Lumberton, NJ with his son. His son is not one of the victims, police say.

Relatives told authorities that they were concerned about Dusseault's mental health, saying he was very emotional.

Dusseault is described as 5'10" tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He has a tattoo on his left arm of "NY" and a tattoo on his upper chest with the words "Schaney." He was last seen wearing tan short sleeve shirt and khaki shorts.

The son is described as 4'8" tall, 80 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a maroon and white striped shirt and blue jeans.

Police say Dusseault is currently driving a 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe, black in color, which is registered to his girlfriend, Amy White.

The Hyundai Sante Fe has a NJ Registration LXB-61U.

Dusseault is a registered sex offender in North Carolina. He is listed on the site as being convicted in June, 2007 of child pornography charges.
