Feds find brothers wanted in Philly slaying in Ga.

ATHENS, Ga. - August 26, 2010

Jim Burke of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force tells the Athens Banner-Herald that deputy marshals tracked 25-year-old Edward and 27-year-old Cornell Lowery to the complex. The two were arrested Tuesday.

Officials say the brothers are wanted in the July 27 slaying of a man in Philadelphia's Nicetown neighborhood. Police say they shot Jason Patton-Thompas several times in the head and chest.

Burke wouldn't say how the pair ended up in Athens but said they didn't resist arrest, and marshals found no weapons in the apartment.

Both men waived extradition Wednesday morning.
