State prosecutors say a Delaware judge has sentenced a Dover man to life in prison without parole after declaring him a habitual offender.

Thirty-one-year-old Dallas Drummond was sentenced Thursday. He had been convicted last month of burglary and other offenses.

Prosecutors say Drummond has previously been convicted of rape, assault, endangering the welfare of a child and numerous other crimes.

He is a registered sex offender and prosecutors say he is a substantial risk to the community.
