Some lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike were closed Monday morning after a pedestrian was struck by a tractor trailer.

Police say a man was running out from the wood and ran onto the highway.

He was then struck by the tractor trailer.

The pedestrian was flown to Cooper Hospital in serious condition.

It was not clear why the male was running out of the woods.

The truck was also rear ended by another vehicle. There did not appear to any injuries from that accident.
