Police say the woman, whose name has not yet been released, was behind the wheel of a car around 4:15 a.m. while a man, who police describe as a friend, tried to push the vehicle up Levering Street.
The car rolled backward and ran the man over.
He was rushed to Einstein Hospital with crushing chest injuries.
The woman behind the wheel was also charged with aggravated assault while DUI and recklessly endangering another person.
